Why this music
Because the book moves with the flat, merciless rhythm of a trial transcript, the music stays spare and unhurried — dry guitar, dusty strings, long silences. It carries the emotional numbness of men who've run out of appeals, brightening only in rare human flashes before the desert closes back in.
