The music stays in the register of ancient ritual and sacred dread: slow, resonant, often modal, drawing on East and South Asian traditions of ceremony and devotion. It darkens toward the ceremonial and oppressive as the divine presence grows, using sparse percussion, deep drones, and choral texture to hold the reader in the tension between reverence and terror.
